4th Int’l CNG Conference to be Held in 17-18 November in Pakistan

4th International Conference & Exhibition CNG Conex 2007 will be held on 17-18 November 2007at Karachi Expo Centre with the objective to promote CNG as an alternative and environment friendly fuel in the Country and promotion of CNG conversation of heavy vehicle especially urban transport to protect environment. The Conference & Exhibition will be inaugurated by Federal Minister of Petroleum and Secretary Petroleum is expected to be Chief Guest at the concluding session. This was stated by Naeem Qureshi Chairman Organizing Committee Malik Khuda Buksh, Chairman CSOAP A. Sami Khan President CNG Dealers Association at a joint press Conference at a local hotel.
He said local as well as foreign representatives of CNG Trade from Italy, New Zealand, Britain, China, Malaysia, Korea, India and Canada would attend the Conference & Exhibition. The Conference is being organized by National Forum for Environment & Health (NFEH), CNG Stations Owners Association of Pakistan, CNG Dealers Association of Pakistan and while the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources and Ministry of Environment, City District Government Karachi, Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Monthly Energy Update are patronizing the mega event, they added.
The theme of the Conference is “Investment Opportunities & New Challenges on the Road”. It is aimed to provide latest information to delegates about the infrastructural development and technical advancements made in the CNG sector worldwide (Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Canada & USA) and particularly in Asian Countries including China, Iran, Bangladesh, India and Pakistan. He maintained Naeem Qureshi said the Conference would discuss the emerging trends, production and processing tools, business opportunities and challenges ahead in next five years by taking advantages form the “best practices” presented by local and international experts from CNG-NGV industries.
Whereas the Two-Day Conference & Exhibition will run parallel to the Conference and will attract over thousands individual and corporate visitors. The exhibition will display the products related to CNG-NGV light and heavy vehicles, leasing, insurance, fire and safety. Exhibitors / participants include stakeholders form CNG industry including manufacturers of CNG kits and association, importers and marketers of CNG equipments (Dispensers, Compressors, Generators and Fuel Station etc), OMCs, Auto-manufacturers of NGVs, NGV Conversation Centre, Suppliers and Distributors of Natural Gas, Environmentalists, Safety Installation Technical Experts, Government Officials, Banks, DFIs (Leasing & Insurance Companies, local and international delegates, he said.
